While you are studying with us, you can choose to undertake one internship as an integral part of your academic programme of study (credit from this does not count towards your degree requirements).
Many of our students take advantage of this valuable opportunity with former students securing internships at the British Council (France), UNESCO, an arts advertising agency, publishing houses, an architectural firm, and the European Commission in Brussels.
Internships help you to gain valuable professional experience in the institutions, international organisations and private businesses of Paris. Our career advisers from key2advance can help you look for an internship in an area that interests you. An internship provides you with the opportunity to:
- connect the skills and knowledge learned in your academic programme to the working environment
- develop employability skills, making you more attractive to employers
- experience first-hand the business and working culture of an organisation
- gain confidence and improve your personal and professional skills
- develop more effective written and oral communication skills
- extend your commercial awareness of the context of decision-making
- expand your business and professional networks
- become more self-aware, which will help you move from academic study to your chosen career.
In France, organisations and companies hiring students as interns require a convention de stage (internship agreement) to be signed by the student and by the University. Once you have secured a relevant position, you need to give your internship provider a convention de stage. Provided you meet eligibility requirements, this is provided by the Paris School of Arts and Culture.
