Applications for 2025/26 Chevening Scholarships will open in September 2024.
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FDCO) and partner organisations.
The programme offers awards for outstanding scholars from around the world who wish to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.
The University of Kent has a long-standing relationship with Chevening, which has successfully placed scholars from all over the world at the university for many years. Kent is proud to be a Chevening partner, and offers three partner scholarships, in addition to the standard Chevening Scholarships.
The University of Kent welcomes applications from all Chevening-eligible countries for any one-year taught master’s degree based at our UK campuses. In the 2022-23 academic year, 12 Chevening Scholars studied at Kent. Kent celebrates its Chevening Scholars, inviting them to VIP events such as a visit to the Lord Mayor of Canterbury.
Please note that Chevening scholars cannot apply for a Graduate Route Visa. By accepting a Chevening award, you agree to return home for two years at the end of your scholarship.
